I totally have to act like a tourist while I'm living here in LA or I'll never see or do anything while I'm here. A friend of a friend gave me a whole list of things to do and places to eat etc and I'm going to try and do them all while I live here. Though some of them I've already done. Naturally I'll be adding more to the list as they come up!

...it turns out that I'm kind of glad I didn't get this job. It's not exactly why I came out here and if I took the job it would be just for the money and the steadiness of it (does that even make sense?) Anyway it turns out that my boss actually wanted me to stay. She pulled me in and asked me what I wanted to do cause they'd love to have me stay. I told her that I came out here to do Production in TV or film etc. and she said that it doesn't make sense to stay. Not if production was what I came here to do. And I agree. I mean frankly if I took the job I'd be taking the safe route. So I'll be done there by the beginning of April and will begin again. Of course I'd love to find something steady so I could start looking for an apartment that I can afford and get out of Muppet's way. And I know that's gonna be tough cause the pay out here sucks yet the rents are pretty high in the neighborhoods you want to live in. I'm going to start praying and crossing fingers NOW for April.
Hmmm I wonder if my boss knows anyone...
Looks like I got a job! My temp agency submitted my resume last week and I just found out on Friday that I start Monday at a pretty big animation studio in their International Marketing Department! It's actually a temp to hire job so it won't be permanent until they hire me. Continue to pray and cross fingers!
Had a full day temp job this Monday but nothing else. I've been applying to jobs like a mad woman! Why aren't you people HIRING me damn it!?!? I rock! Sigh...
Registered with a temp agency today. Major client is a pretty big production company and they're hoping to get me in there. In the meantime I have an assignment this Friday. Not for long and not for much but better than nothing.
Well I made it to LA safely. My friend Muppet (ok her real name is Michele but I had to call her Muppet because her happy dance when we met looked just like a Muppet dancing) picked me up from the Burbank airport and we lugged my stuff into the apt.
The job search begins in earnest this week.
... like L.A.! I'm moving this Saturday. See how I like it, see if I find a job in TV or film etc. But packing is a BITCH!!! It's taking forEVER!! I'm so sick of these stairs. I wanna live in a ranch style home forever and ever
