It was 8:01pm when I got the news. I can't BELIEVE it! January 20th, 2009 Barack Obama will be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States!!! A black man has WITHOUT A DOUBT become the next President of the United States. Nevada - BLUE. Florida - BLUE. Ohio - BLUE. States that usually vote Republican term after term were won by Barack Obama. People GLADLY stood on lines for hours just to vote. History was made today. And I'm glad I was a part of it.
...and I hope you did too! It was a bit different voting in a different
state. I kind of felt like I was filling out a standardized test with the
little bubbles and ink pen. At least I didn't have to deal with hanging
chads!
And now to wait with baited breath.
